I’m really loving the art. Who is the artist?

Dominic Harman.

Nice! Could someone ask them not to use yellow print on the inside this time? It was very hard to read.

It’s fun knowing that the art is now a “sneak peek” at one of the stories.

I mentioned this one the magazine’s facebook account, but I’ll mention it here as well. I wouldn’t want anyone feeling misled when they receive the issue. This cover isn’t an illustration for any of the stories inside. Whenever possible, we try to put an interior illustration on the cover, so that the cover reflects the magazine’s content. But unfortunately, we’re not always able to make this happen. This isn’t a reflection on the quality of any of the interior artwork, since not every great illustration is right for a cover. So when we run into this situation, we then check to see if anything in the artist gallery might be used on the cover. But sometimes nothing here is quite right for us either. So when that happens, we have to find our cover art out from other sources. That is the case here.

As to the yellow print on the inside, Warren discusses that in the comments thread over on his LJ: http://warrenlapine.livejournal.com/32842.html

Oh. Well, it’s still a nice cover.
Thanks!

I like this gold/yellow much more than the brighter yellow. Maybe I’m just nit- picking, but I think it makes a difference.

We welcome the nitpicking! Warren doesn’t have to post these cover drafts in advance, but we genuinely welcome the feedback from our readers. Thanks!
