Fantastic Books: Animythical Tales Now Available

by Editor Douglas Cohen on March 16, 2010

So as many of you know, one of my other editorial gigs is with Fantastic Books, another one of Warren Lapine’s publishing companies. Fantastic is a line dedicated to publishing sf/f/h. And I’m pleased to inform you all that Sarah Totton’s collection, Animythical Tales, is now available for purchase. Sarah was one of my slush survivors some years back with Realms of Fantasy, and her short story collection was the first project I took on as an acquiring editor for Fantastic Books. I’m very pleased to be working with her again. The story I plucked from the slush, “A Fish Story,” is included in this collection, along with a number of other stories for lovers of fantasy literature. Of course, you may be wondering whether this collection is right for you, and whether you should be committing your hard-earned money on it. Well, to help you decide, Sarah has provided this rather helpful TOC to her collection.

Please consider giving Sarah’s collection a try, and stay tuned for more announcements concerning Fantastic in the coming days and weeks.

ETA: And for those who remain unhappy with Amazon after their showdown with MacMillan, here is the Barnes & Noble link.
