Realms of Fantasy Reader Awards
Welcome to the inaugural Realms of Fantasy Reader Awards! These annual awards have been created to honor the authors and artists whose works appear within our pages. There are two categories: fiction and artwork. In the fiction category, only works original to the magazine will be eligible. For artwork, eligible works will include original interior illustrations and all non-media cover illustrations. The current ballots are for your favorite works from the February 2009-December 2009 issues.
These awards will be voted on strictly by the readers. The magazine’s staff will refrain from voting, recommending, or influencing the outcomes in any way. In other words, oh readers, the decisions rest solely in your hands. To cast your ballot, mark your favorite work in each category and then click “Vote.” Please vote only once in each category. This poll will remain open until the June 2010 issue hits newsstands, on April 4th, 2010. Shortly afterward, the results will be tabulated and we will contact the winners via email. We will then announce the winners on the website and honor each of them with a trophy to commemorate their respective achievements.

Name Day rocks! I love the weirdness, the edgy sensibility. The dark coming of age. *shiver* I’d take more stories like this and less of the fluttery elf blah blah blah.
nameday incredibly weird and strange. that is good.
the illustration for healing benjamin was really creative and, in my opinion, fit the dtory really well.
“The Happiest Place on Earth” wrecked me, just tore me apart. I can’t remember the last RoF story that had me in tears.
Would love to have been able to vote for both Rambo’s and Francisco’s as best fiction.
Truly beautiful efforts.
I’d have to say that my favorite story from ‘09 would have to be “Happiness is the serious business of Heaven.” It was sweet and thought provoking in a unique way. I loved the comparisons between Angels and office drones.
